At Bobo Choses, we have always been responsible for our social and environmental footprint. We strive to create friendly products for our environment and continuously improve our production processes’ sustainability.

Discover here some facts, which improve year after year.

We strive to replace conventional materials with more sustainable ones that have a lower impact on both nature and human health.

We use GOTS-certified organic cotton as the primary fiber in our collections. We are increasingly incorporating more sustainable fibers such as linen, cupro, recycled polyester, and LENZING™ Lyocell.

The cotton yarn is organic *GOTS certified. The cotton was grown without the use of pesticides, herbicides, or any other chemical fertilizer. Its sustainable production system also helps to replenish and maintain soil health.

• 83% of the cotton used in our AW21 for Kid & Baby collection is GOTS certified organic cotton.

• Organic cotton reaches 52% in the Woman and Man collection.

• Recycled wool is the new sustainable incorporation in the Adult collection.

As a novelty, this is the first winter we have 100% organic cotton knitwear, comfortable to wear on a daily basis.

We use eco-responsible fibres such as ecovero and lyocell, which represent 6% of the production.

This collection has more recycled fibers such as recycled polyester, recycled polyamide, and pre-consumed cotton.

We’ve also used recycled fabrics in all our denim and outerwear garments, also in some accessories.

Denim fabric is 20% grs certified recycled cotton.

Most of our outerwear garments have water-repellent treatment by bionic finish eco, an ecological water-repellent impregnation.

Outerwear garments are waterproof (5000 mm), and breathable with 5000 g/m2/24h.

• Bottles are made in Spain, are free of BPA, and do not retain or transmit flavors.

The trays are environmentally friendly as they are made from sustainably sourced fsc® certified made in sweden.

• All of our Polybags have d2w® biodegradable plastic additives. It accelerates the natural process of oxidation until the product is no longer plastic but a material that can be bio-assimilated (i.e., used as a food source) by bacteria and fungi on land or sea. Best of all, if it escapes collection and ends up as litter in the environment, it will degrade and biodegrade in a continuous, irreversible, and unstoppable process until there is nothing left, in the same way as nature’s waste.

Once you have a Bobo Choses garment at home, there are a few things you can do to promote the lifecycle of the clothes.

Take good care of them, following the instructions for each type of garment.

Give the clothes to friends or family, or donate them to NGOs and Foundations. We always design and manufacture our clothes thinking about durability and heritage. There’s plenty of options for you to choose from. You can give the clothes to friends and family, you can also donate them to the dozens of organizations that help other families in need, the ones that recycle textile items, or you can also resell it or exchange it in second hand markets.

• Buy less, but better. That’s a critical factor in making the world a better place. If we all buy quality products with fair textiles, under proper labor conditions, environmentally friendly produced and locally made, we won’t need to replace clothes that often.
