Candice-Joelle is a filmmaker born and raised in a seaside town in Wales. Nina is an industrial Engineer born in Ecuador and raised in Lima, Peru. They met each other at Barcelona Primavera Sound festival in 2012. After living in London for a while, they decided to go back and settle in Barcelona, where they find a good balance between their two cultures. They are two very proud moms to a crazy beautiful 2-year-old named Thiago. They believe family makes any place on earth feel like home.

What would you like to be when you grow up?

N: I’d like to be an Artist
C: To have a part in The Lion King In The West End

What’s the best thing about an ordinary day?

N: The morning sunlight coming through our window, conversations about our day with Candice and the hug Thiago gives me when I get back from work.
C: The golden hour light… when I see my happy family my day gets better!

What’s the funniest thing you’ve ever done?

N & C: Summer of 2012, when we met at Primavera Sound music festival and travelling around the world with our son Thiago.

What’s your favourite star?

N: All of them
C: Canopus. It sounds like the superhero version of Candice

What would your ideal planet be like?

N: A clean planet, with clean air and no violence, where communities function like big families.
C: One with gender equality, sexual equality, racial equality.

What food do you order on your birthday?

N & C: Peruvian ceviche or Mexican food, and British pub chocolate cake!

What have you learned from your children?

N: The beauty in daily routine
C: To see the beauty in the simplest things, and to be patient… that’s totally new for me.
